Bumper modification? Thoughts?
I have been planning a project in my head and I wanted to get some input.
I really want to modify my front bumper, but none of the offerings on the market really do it for me. The stillen splitter is a little less than I want and the TS or replica TS lip are a little too "young" or "agressive" for me, etc.
SO the QUESTION:
Could I get a slightly damaged front bumper from a body shop that I have a good repor with and do custom fiberglass molding?
I am looking forward to seeing the final product of the member who did the "essence-ish" front end. I guess that will answer some questions too.
What are your experiences with fibreglass? Good, bad, ugly?
Thanks!

Unless you really know what you're doing with fiberglass, it can look like total $hit. It may look okay, doing 75 down the road, but if you get up on it, it's very easy to see defects.

Thanks blackjack!
Hmm, good point.
I am a perfectionist when it comes to these types of projects, so I would probably over plan and do some tests before, but point taken.
You didn't discourage me yet tho. haha
Anyone else have experience with glassing body parts?

IMO!!
If you want a little more than the stillen splitter but less than the TS lip look at the Autokits X front lip. I just had one molded on my car and I think it really completes the front end.
