In order for dealers to get a car for you from another dealer they have to give up something in return. They just don't move cars around.

Makes sense in "bad weather" areas. I know Lexus doesn't even bother with RWD in Chicago. Every dealer has AWD - at least thats what they told me.

I remember seeing some projections a while back, where Infiniti was anticipating that AWD sales in the snow belt would be like 80% of the coupes. So I wouldn't be surprised if you said AWD to RWD was like 4:1 or something. However, the RWDs aren't sufficiently rare that you can't find one at all somewhere. Even up here in Canada, you can still find plenty of RWD cars at the dealership. If they don't have the specs you want at the dealership, they can usually get it from another dealership or the port.

PS. For snow driving, AWD with winter tires definitely helps. If you're going RWD, you definitely will need some winter tires, unless you just want it as your summer car.

yes we only are allowed to order certain amount of cars. I'll have 1 of 100 people really want a RWD sedan, coupe, or M at this point. and with all this snow this year in New York people need to get to work and not worry about taking a cab.

Properly titled threads make this forum a better place.

How about "the ratio of AWD vs RWD cars"

This way, we can at least remember if we've already read the thread and stop opening it just to see WTF the damn thread is about...

ugh..sales tactics. they're out there, albeit not as frequent as the X models. my local infiniti dealer gets rwd 6spds regularly, monthly. be patient.

I know you love your car, and that's a nice car, but I disagree with what you say about the G37x Sedan. Obviously you just want to trash it.
