Found thermal wrapping on manifold

Found thermal wrapping on exhaust manifold. I bought the car used and the previous owner must've done this but why.

Is it possible that I have aftermarket exhaust manifold/headers??

on the other hand. When I had the HFC installed, the bolts between this manifold and catalytic converter seemed to be factory as they were hard to uninstall as everyone finds while doing this.

Sounds like they was tracking the car and the heat shield broke off.

I also replace all my lines with SS if I can.

What do you mean by thermal wrapping? There's thermal shield wraps that shields the wrapped piping against ambient temps. But there's also exhaust/header wraps that traps the heat the the gas exists faster.

One shields, the other traps heat. Opposites.
