IPL G coupe
^^ their probably not going to do ANYTHING for a while.. look at Nissan it took them over 10 years to bring something fun to the U.S., the GT-R, over a decade after they killed off the twin turbo 300z. Nissan had NOTHING "performance" grabbing for a longgg time, how many times were people discussing and trying to get a twin turbo 350, even a 370... nothing. The Nismo is a joke to me personally for the monies, and I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts Nissan won't go anything fun for Infiniti for a longggg time.
Good thing we have aftermarket companies!

Well to be fair to Infiniti the only people hyping it were the magazines and people on forums. Infiniti always downplayed news stories and it wasn't until the IPL coupe was released that they started commenting on the division.
giving a car a body kit and some red seats doesn't justify calling it an "IPL"
you could have just made an anniversary edition g37 and be done with it or made a performance package with all those things.
nobody will buy this car because you can just get a g37S and save the $$$ since there is virtually no performance gains and use that $$$ to mod the car yourself.
there is also nothing really nice about the new M. it's bloated and has the same jerky, harsh performance as the G but the G is more forgiving since it's a sports coupe. the 5 series is exceptionally smooth and refined and the M is not on the level. the M just looks and feels like the new maxima. they have no right charging as much as the 5 series or anywhere close if they expect to succeed.
the M should be reduced to a base price of $40k if they plan to ever compete with bmw. the only reason the G competes with BMW is because it's priced right. g37 is priced between the 328i and 335i but is closer to performance to the 335i and more equipped. that is why the G is so successful.
the IPL should start at $54-56,000 and have the 5.6L v8 420hp then it could compete with the ISF, RS5, AMG, M3, CTS-V etc and would justify the badge.
otherwise this thing is just starting to look like a big joke.
