Glad you're OK. Can't imagine what would have happened with a mature doe or buck.

+1, time to call hunters. NJ packed with deers, besides damages they are having this bugs with Lyme disease. Hate them! This car would need lots of wash as well as fixing.

The body shop that they towed the car to called the same day and requested that the inside be detailed right away as it was impossible for anyone to do the repair work (broken glass, blood and hair). In this heat, it would smell like hell by the next day.

I left it with them to do the work. I had a good night sleep knowing that it was only my car and not me....

I am a lucky man to be alive.

Totally Sucks... I can relate... Just hit one myself, albeit nowhere near this.
Thankfully you didn't get hurt. Use this repair as time to upgrade some stuff... ;-) Be Well

I thought the deer that I hit was bad.

Glad you're okay.
Wish you luck.

I was driving through a construction zone at around 70km. I didn't see this coming at all and didn't know what hit me except the loud bang.

Perhaps as much as 3 seconds later I saw blood all over me. I thought I was dead until I saw the deer legs sitting on my lap. That was when I pulled to the side and stopped. It was difficult for me to get out of the car as I was in shock (my legs were very weak).

My first reaction was to find out if I was injured by ways of any broken bones. The next step was to determine if that was my blood or the deer. At the point some cars stopped and they gave me bottled water to wash off the blood. Other than little cuts here and there I was Okay. It was a miracle to say the least.

The backend of the deer was cut off by the pillar and swung to the driver side rested my lap. Gut stings, hair, broken glass everywhere….

I am picking up a MKZ rental while the G is being repaired. It will take 2-3 week I guess.

Thanks for the caring!
