Vibrating/buzzing noise coming from sunglass compartment

I just dropped my G off at the dealership to get this addressed. Whenever I'm on a bumpy road or when my exhaust drones (from being at lower RPM), there's a vibration noise that comes from the sunglass case. I know it's the problem since when I open it, it goes away. I notice this mostly on the freeway when I'm on a stretch of road where the pavement isn't too smooth and the buzzing noise annoys the crap out of me.

Anyone else experience this before?

Yup happens to me all the time.

Havent had a chance to drop the car off for the number of noises happening lately.

Need to tho.

Okay well I got it fixed today. They put "dampening tape" on the male end of the latching mechanism. The strip was like a millimeter in length. Shoot, I could've done that myself at home with some duct tape haha.

Could you post a pic of where they put it, if possible? I have been trying to get mine to stop rattling too! I lined it with weather stripping(wouldn't open at one point I put so much on it!) and it still rattles! If Im not mistaken this is the only part my car shares with G's interior wise.

this car is notorious for little bull**** sounds. I have windshield popping noise, steering wheel collumn creek, Right 'A' pillar creeking, and numerous other sounds. Lucky im returning mine for an 2011 so i hope this will be resolved

Okay, apparently the fix didn't work since I heard it in the car again. Argh...

In another section, I read about others having the same problem and they stuffed cloth or foam in the compartment. I guess I'll try that next.

Mine rattles but its not in the part that opens, its the frame that holds it. I don't tell dealers about rattles anymore, they usually make it worse. I suppose the frame needs to come out, anyone know how to do that?
