Weird noise..

.. I've had several cars and know what it sounds like when you need new brakes. I drove the G home from work today, no noise at all. I BACK out of my drive way and a LOUD screeching noise catches my ear.. almost as if something was dragging. I hop out and look under the car. Nothing scraping nor anything under the car. I continue to back out and the noise is back. It also occurs when going forward for a slight second. I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Just wanted to see what you guys think..

thanks

it's your rear brakes! i'm sorry, but most of us have sport brakes have the screech noise and it only makes the sound when backing up. try backing up and step on the brake to replicate it.

ive had the noise since i bought the car. they might resurface your rotors, which will make it go away for about a day, then it's right back

if it's the noise that all of us have, i would say no. but if it makes you feel better to at least have them look at it, can't hurt.

Yeah, I've got a sport, and the brakes screech when I back up but almost never forward. I think it's because they are made so they work better working forward than backward. Doesn't bug me that much.
