Is not the sun. My car is garaged and I use sun shade and it happened after only a few months of owning the car. They typically replace the entire piece.

It happens on them all I doubt its the sun and after they are replaced under warranty it happens again in a few months.................. and you run the risk of your dash being put back together with things loose or not perfect like from factory thus resulting in rattles creeks etc.

just my .02

yeah i was thinking the same thing. The gap is not that big .. maybe like 1 cm. I think i should just leave it like that for now because what if they messup and things get loose i'll have a big headache.

for those that are having a same problem.... what year is your G? is it 08?

and for those that fixed it.. does the problem go away or is it come back after few months?

Happened to my 2005 FX35 at 61,000 miles. Nissan denied the claim because the warranty expired at 60,000 miles. Get it fixed now and DO NOT let the warranty expire.

Just seems like common sense that repeated exposure to intesnse thermal and UV radiation would cause damage to most substances over time. Best just to place a barrier in between.

That is not to say that the sun is the only cause though. Just one possible cause....

even if it is, it's unacceptable IMO. I live in hot as hell Georgia and my Honda and Nissan dashboards never separated.... why should an Infiniti?

And now they end up spending more money to fix the problem. They are actually adding costs over time.

After the fix it should not happen again. I have had my car for 2.5 years, got the dash fixed in the first few months and no issues since.

I too had my dash fixed and its been good for 6 months so far. They had to order a part and it was there over night but I had a loaner so I didn't care.

My dealer just did this for me. I had my car since Aug 07 and I never noticed it until a few months ago. My first dealer denied the warranty, so I took it to another dealer and they fixed it immediately. In fact, I had a whole thread dedicated to issues I was having.

Here is the other thread with photos of the dash peeling issue:

https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...the-deuce.html

I bet all Gs have the same problem. Does anyone know if the issue is resolved in the newer models (2010 for example)?

I have a list of warranty related issues to go over with the dealer the next time I pay them a visit!
