My Shifter is like that. Poor quality coating on the 08's. It will get that way with normal use/wear/tear. Sucks.

Never noticed the gap on the dash until I saw this post. Mine has a gap on both sides too. More on the left side. At least it is a lease, so I don't need to look at it for too long.

yeah that wrapping on the 08s warp a little bit. that should be covered under warranty. it's fairly common on the 08s actually but there was never a TSB

the shift ****... now if they did something, they can be held accountable... the guy was probably wearing a ring...
that is my only reservation about having someone else service my car... the engineer/technician isn't as careful as I would be... that's why I can only go to places I can trust, that's why so many of us like Beshoff in norcal. They're service quality and business honesty is a cut above the rest.

you need to upgrade to some bigger brakes man... i don't think the akebonos can handle that much forward momentum for a daily driver if push it to 5k regularly

Well, to update, here is what they did so far:

-Brake vibration issue, they replaced front hubs, resurfaced the rotors and rebedded the pads, vibration is gone.

-Peeling dash - they completely replaced the upper dash mat as well as my passenger side A/C vent which was starting to peel.

-Peeling steering wheel trim - Since the trim was peeling on it, they replaced the whole steering wheel.

-Cruise control - turns out that the previous dealership over tightened the clutch and brake switches causing the cruise control not to set. Issue is fixed and works like a charm

I also brought in my own oil (Pennzoil Ultra) and they only charged me 10 bucks for labor for them to do it.

Over all, a great experience at the dealership. My service adviser was friendly and delivered the car when promised, in condition he promised.

If you guys are in AZ, go to Infiniti of Scottsdale and see Gerry Lopez. Great guy.

One dealership will do a full TSB/Warranty work and replace stuff another will try not to and as example turn rotors when they should be replaced. I still don't get it why car manufacturers lets this happen. For me it feels like the famous "Don't let that door hit yo A$$ on the way out" after I made the purchase and signed... My rotors where turned while others where replaced. Total BS!
