And another joins the ranks!

Picked up my '10 G37S coupe yesterday here in austin I was this >.< close to getting the anniversary edition but couldn't stomach the premium (or the wood inlays/red leather).

Anyway I'm stoked, moving up from an '05 dodge magnum RT (Prius prior to the mag and an '02 WRX before that).

Love the car so far =D

Congratulations and welcome! I know what you mean about the anniversary edition - I like some of the exterior effects but those red seats have got to go (cheasy corvette seats that chevy rejected)

Congrats on the 2010 man... Welcome to the club...
Coming from a Magnum, you must feel so agile on the road...
+1 on the freaky red seats on Anni version.

BTW, White with Tinted Windows is such a badass look on this car.

Tinting was priority one this morning =D

Next up is a matte-black powder coating of the stock rims followed by the grill...maybe blacked out tails but I'm not sure.

Just sitting in the cockpit of the G was enough to sell me, even tho I already decide before test driving as I've always had a thing for them. The mag was a freight train, 345HP in a straight line and it felt heavier to drive than most mid-size trucks.

I've not had a chance to flex it yet (I'm assuming there is a break-in period where I should kid-glove it?) but it feels great so far =D

So i've an ongoing tint concern...

I asked for the darkest legal % allowed on the front (35%) and the same all around. Once the tint was finished I noticed they put the darkest allowed for the back and 1/4s. They assumed I wanted 'the darkest allowed all around'.

A misunderstanding as I wanted the same level all around (35%). They agreed to swap it out on the next sunny day for ease of removal on the back window.

I'm torn because I wanted the tint to match but I don't want to run the risk of them taking it off the rear window and borking the defroster (they have a 'we are not responsible for defroster damage under any circumstances).

I've got the backup camera so nightime backing up shouldn't be a problem and I had super dark on my magnum. Anyone have shots of matching lighter tint?

I would just leave it as it is. You got a back up camera and you really won't need that rear window for any rearward visibility. I have a matching lighter tint and I'm going to be doing darker in the rear and 1/4s.

Yes, Burnett, dealt with Gil (sales) and Chad (finance) in and out, dealt with my attempts at haggling/flopping back and forth. Good experience, they didn't try and push anything on me.

I'm leaning this way, especially due to the black border on the 1/4s, going lighter would have this pretty visible and looking a little weird to me.
