i dunno about paying cash. but hey if you won't miss 50k then it doesn't really matter.

... I could've done a lot with 50k for 3 years... it's probably be like 75k by the time I was done with it.

Well I had 92k spendable , so by only using a little over 1/2 isn't too bad . I'm just glad I picked a sweet car !

Today I put down my deposit for my 2010 G37 Coupe S

I got the Graphite Shadow with the Graphite Interior , Also comes with the Aerodynamic package and a 6 speed manual transmission . Rear camera , navigation .. loaded to the max ..

Im only 37 and so far EVERYONE I know has told me I'm NUTS for doing this purchase .

I went from a 99 Eclipse to this , I drove that car for 2 years while I saved for the G37 .

I paid $49,460,50 CASH for this G37 ...

good move or no ?
A couple of things:

1- What was the sticker price of the car? I just bought the same car (minus the aero package) and the sticker price was $44K. I paid $39K for my car. I don't see how you could possibly pay that much for what is essentially the same car.

2- I was also going to pay cash for my car, but Infiniti is now offering 0% interest for up to 36 months. You'd be crazy to drop that kind of cash on the car when you can give it to them over 3 years instead. With a free loan, you can put that money to work for you instead of forking it over in one lump sum.

I didn't want to blow all of our saved money because I was going to put the rest towards the principal of the house.

The sticker price was 47,930 . Maybe because of the liminated kick plates ? and aero package ? I was there over a 3 day period just talking them down .. I couldnt get them to budge at all for the price I gave ..

either way I think we will be happy .

OH and remember one thing , this is OUT THE DOOR PRICE...... TAXES AND EVERYTHING PAID.

I have a question , Since I only gave them my deposit ... do you think they would allow me to do the 36 month finance ? I told them I would pay in cash so not sure if they will do this or not ? Is there a loan fee ? or any sort of additional cost when getting the loan ?

Of course they will. There is no cost at all to go with the 0% for 36 months. I told my dealership that I'd be paying cash too, and then while I was waiting for my car to come in, Infiniti started offering the 0% finance option. It was no problem going with the payments instead of a straight cash deal.

Congrats!

You just have to qualify with Infiniti Financial Service for the 0 ARP/36 months. You should be fine if you have a good credit history and a score of 750ish or higher.

OEM HID is 4300K, many of us upgrade to 6000K for a pure white look. The factory oil is not synthetic. Some wait a while before switching to synthetic, others do it at the first interval. There's a lot of threads on oil.

I still think I am crazy for paying 40K for my G. I love it, but at times I think I could have purchased two cars for that amount of money. Then I drive it and forget all my worries.

Yeah, you could have purchased two cars for $40K, but they wouldn't be fun/sporty/stylish cars....more like econo-box cars that are really just appliances to get you from point A to point B.
