I have a 2009 G37 Coupe (Journey/Nav/Prem/Sport) at home, but I got a 2010 G37X Sedan as a rental this week on travel. I've noticed that the upshifts between 1st through 3rd gear are a lot smoother on the rental than in my car. Are there different shift times between the coupe and sedan, did Infiniti change it between years, or am I noticing some other difference in the car? I already had the TSB fix applied for the harsh downshifts. Thanks!

 

I would imagine the shifts on the S version are going to be rougher for the whole sporty feel they are trying to achieve.

funny you mention this, i just took my 09 sedan non-sport in for work to be done and got a loaner 10 sedan non-sport and that is exactly what i felt. don't know if my minds playing tricks on me, but i trully feel the tranny upshifts is a lot smoother than my 09.
