School Problems, any ideas?
so i picked up my g37 a few weeks ago, and little do i know someone else in my school has the same model except for theirs being an '09 while mine is a '10. same color and interior and all wheel drive.
been getting more and more haters because of it, people saying i copied him and what not. i just say its just a car, ill race him to show who is the better driver.
we are both totally stock, i wouldnt be surprised if all he has been doing maintainable wise is going to the dealer for their regular services. my car only has around 400 miles on it so far.
what do you guys think i should do? im trying to set my car apart, but as a student money isnt something i have a lot of.
should i race him? never formally talked to him directly about it, since i never got along with him. if i can give you a mental picture of him, he is a kid who always has friends around him because of his money, and is just a jerk to people who he doesnt want to be friends with. i'm more of the laid back kid who studies hard and plays hard. i like being a car enthusiast as it gets my mind off of school. had an 03 tl for a year and man was that fun to upgrade
anyways, back to the subject, what do you guys think i should do? have you ever been in this peer pressure sort of situation? my parents gave me the car as a gift for getting into a prestigious college and i never thought anyone else would have it. even if i knew, i dont think that would have changed my decision on getting it.
basically, i dont know exactly what route i should take to solve this. i washed and waxed my car this weekend and uploaded pics onto facebook and had flamers up the wall within 5 minutes. "nice job getting the same car as _____", "looks good, i think ive seen it before, oh wait thats _____'s car", "do you really have to kiss ____'s *** that much and buy the same car as him".. list goes on, i hope you get the picture.
thanks guys, really means a lot for some advice

First off, who the heck cares about if someone has the same car as you do. All the haters and hateing simply because they are jelious of you two. simple fact of the matter is you both have nice cars. Ignore the haters and move on.....
what makes him so different than you? That he got the car before you did? If you have no prior knowledge of his car and went out and bought a identical car as him it obviously means you both have good taste....no matter what you do and how much you spend there will always be haters.
Going and trying to trade in the vehicle wont do you any good. they will still hate and you will be in the same boat. enjoy the car for why you got it and enjoy it for yourself.

I think you should grow up, and then start following the rules regarding not posting about street racing in the forum, then realize that this is juvenile and certainly not the correct forum for you to post your juvenile high school drama in. Try posting it (minus the street racing references) in The Lounge and get flamed in there.
Congrats on getting into a good school, maybe they can teach you some grammar and punctuation.
