while i was reading the forum, i came across someone stating that theres no automatic steering wheel lift when exiting the vert.....and someone else mentioned it doesnt work on the 6MT.

does the steering wheel lift on exit on a 7AT coupe? it does on the sedan...im gunna be pretty pissed if it doesnt...i dont see why it shouldnt

its only a sedan feature. yes its dumb but it is what it is.

one way to counter it is make #2 memory the seat all way back and steering wheel up and then when you get out just push memory 2. works pretty well

it has nothing do do with vert or tranny. no 2dr has that feature cause youll crush anyone in the back when you open the door. Thats why only sedans have it.

I've got no problem getting out...

... But if it's a problem for you, just use highspeedlowdrags idea.

I understand not having the seat move back with the coupe, but the steering wheel moving up and in would't have caused a problem for any backseat passenger.

I actually heard about it from Stoof haha but yeah I do that now and it has just become second nature, cause I drive with my left hand so as soon as I pull in any where I just push the #2 button really fast and then when I unlock the car it goes back to #1 as I get in (the IK fob is tied to #1)

I'm glad my car doesn't do this. But I also plan on keeping my car for a long time.

My neighbor has a QX4 that did this every time he got out and the seat motor has gone out a few times.

I'll give them a budge every once in a while but I think frequent use will kill them faster.

Nah... Not with today's technology... I've got an 03 Caddy that has EXIT MODE
and that is a nice feature I wish the G Coupe had... It also has down-tilt on
the mirrors when in R, which is a big help

that was my second thought. i can deal with the seat not moving....its the steering wheel that bothers me sometimes, they could atleast have that move.

They're electric motors. I don't know if that much changed from an 03 to an 08 with regards to electric motors.

Exactly... They work!! is my point... My '98 Lincoln Mark VIII has exit mode
steering lift and seat slide, and still works fine... Those motors last nowadays
