Is the coupe getting a facelift soon or any changes?

Should I wait for the next changes?

^^^ Yea, A fat lip... Like it got punched in the mouth!! The standard "S" bumper is much sexier. The only upside (if you're into it) is the possibility for a Bright red leather interior and about the same sticker price as a convertible because it's quote - unquote "Limited Edition". Definitely not worth the money IMO, but maybe the OP thinks the changes are worth it, just my $.02

The sedan was luxurious, super smooth and just what I was looking for in a luxury car.

But after having gone through the break in period. I totally got bit by the performance bug. The sedan is fast and mean for a sedan.

But I wish I got the coupe cause that fast and mean performance would be so much better, throatier and loads sexier.

I asked to trade it for the coupe but the dealership said the hit would be 6-10 thousand.

Should I just save up and wait for the next coupe update?
Will I lose that same amount of money in a couple years or will I lose even more money If I wait?
Sometimes I wish I got the sedan. 112inch wheelbase makes more sense on the sedan than the coupe. The sedan has better weight distribution and the X is a better handler. Yeah u aren't going as fast, but mild mods can even up the score.

I think a drop and wheels may help it feel sportier?

But I cant find any options to lower the AWD and I'm afraid to put staggered rims on an AWD.

I agree, I can't stand the new aero package lip...I love my 09 S coupe and the looks of it, I don't think they needed to change it at all

I wouldn't go to the coupe over the sedan for performance - esthetics perhaps but not performance. You won't see a big gain on any metric. The price difference though is close to a forced induction system that you could add to the sedan that would make a big performance gain. The coupe is very attractive though and you can spiff it up with cosmetic mods like iron-man lights, custom grills, etc. But it will drive basically like your sedan though. Also, are you certain you want to go from awd to rwd? There is a weight penalty but poor weather performance is improved.

If you are looking for a larger performance gain, Audi S4 and BMW 335 with similar starting horsepower can both be software upgraded to increase the boost and gain lots of horsepower - same with the subaru wrx impreza.

I've read in a couple spots on this website that Eibach has springs for the AWD. One source I found, here. I think I've heard of another option for springs, but alas no coilovers for the G37x yet.

The staggered wheel on an awd set-up has been talked about several times on this site, but no one's presented any definitive proof from Infiniti that it is acceptable, although BMW offers staggered wheels as an option on their 335i as a vote of confidence for using staggered wheels. One very reputable shop explained it to me like this he said, "It doesn't matter how wide the tires are in the rear it could be a 3 foot wide tires as long as the rolling diameters are the same or a very close match in the front and back" he also went on to say by putting a wider tire in the rear you will be sacrificing the cars handling a little... But lets face it the G37x awd is slow so do you really care about it handling like it was on "rails"?

A lot of opinions (including my Infiniti mechanic) say that it's the wheel/tire diameter (height) that matters most to an awd system, but opinions also exist to the contrary. It all boils down to who you trust, and how badly you want your G to look nice. Do some more research and come to your own conclusions.

I would tough it out and wait for 2012 or 2013 coupe redesign. Then you will have something totally unique.

Staggered setup on AWD has been done. Unfortunatly I'm not allowed to mention the site where the member did it.

The driving dynamics of the coupe is different than the sedan. The steering ratios are different and the suspension set up is calibrated differently. The coupe has less body rol. IMO the coupe drives better overall and you can feel the difference between the two.

Well thank you all for the advice. I decided to trade in. I pick up my new coupe sometime soon.

I went back to the dealership where I first bought. They could only give me a deal where I lost 6 k in the end.

I then went to a different dealer. I got the loss down to 3,500.

In the end I figured if I bought wheels and tires for the sedan to make it as sexy I would pay around 3k anyway.

So I broke down and went for the coupe for looks and pure sex.

Great call! Plus, if you think about it the coupe costs about that much more to begin with, so unless you gave up extra options or something, then you really didn't lose much at all!
