No, it doesn't. That is a 370z feature.

But on a rolling start, 6mt wins. Downshift and say goodbye.

With an auto, u step on the gas and pray it downshifts. In the end, 6mt are more fun to drive. If you're an enthusiast and enjoy driving. Get a 6mt.

Red car is manual. Just listen to it roar. Same car, same specs. Can't be more even than this.

It revs match but not sure which tranny, auto only or both? Of course in manual, we can rev match with out feet.

From Infiniti's website.
2015 Infiniti Q60 Coupe Performance | Infiniti USA

Seven Dimensions of Performance

With the 7-speed automatic transmission, more gears means you always have the optimum selection for quick and responsive acceleration. And the 7th gear allows lower-rpm cruising for greater fuel efficiency. Shift through all seven smoothly and seamlessly in automatic mode, or switch into manual with Downshift Rev Matching and use the available solid-magnesium paddle shifters for a more hands-on connection. Or opt for the 6-speed manual transmission and take direct control for maximum performance.

Sadly, the shift quality and long-term reliability of the 6MT in these cars leaves a lot to be desired, perhaps almost as much as the ridiculously crappy 7AT. I think I'll go way out on a limb and quote my own self here for truth.

In the end, like others have said, buy what works best in your situatiion, since neither transmission sets a very high bar for overall finesse or reliability. If these cars had anything resembling real torque ( i.e. if torque equaled or exceeded HP), I really believe neither transmission would make it out of drivetrain warranty in 80% of cases. I hope I'm not the only owner here who thinks that in stock form, these cars are woefully lacking in torque.

I wouldn't exactly call 270 ft lbs a lack of real torque. Compared to my my once stock and now modified 2005 GTO (Corvette LS2 engine) , the G37 Coupe is slow/lacking torque, no comparison, but I wouldn't call G37 Coupe/Sedan 270 ft lb torque lack of real torque. It's the torque curve as well. It's a higher revving car. You have to hit 3k to 4k range to really start feeling power on the 3.7 V6. Where as soon as I hit gas in my GTO even when it was stock, 400hp/400 ft lbs, you get thrown back, LOL! Even power at 2k rpm.

I have no problems with the so called "ridiculously crappy" 7AT, Just as reliable as the 5AT was.. the 7AT the first 3 or 4 gears (ratio) are better suited to performance and gives about 1mpg to 2mpg better gas mileage on the highway over 5AT. The shift software update TSB made a big diff. Sometimes you could get that jerky feeling. Made a big diff for me.

If only that were true. The GT-R is automatic only, no manual and is more fun to drive than any G37 coupe. The super cars, mostly all are going automatic or semi automatic. I'm sure they are not fun to drive at all because there isn't stick? LOL! Today's technology.. unless you are like the STIG on Top Gear a awesome manual shift driver.. the automatic will out shift you.

Oh geesh ... here we go, another MT vs. AT thread. How about we leave it at this and be done with it:

TO EACH THEIR OWN, A MT IS PREFERRED BY SOME PEOPLE AND AN AT BY OTHERS. NO ONE IS WRONG AND NO ONE IS RIGHT.

We are talking about fractions of seconds here, fractions that no one could detect unless they were side by side. Everyone enjoy the car and tranny they have and lets just give it a rest. Besides we need to focus our attention to all the drops, wheels, spacers, best bang for the buck mods and OEM spoiler posts.

I don't know about that one. The way the 7AT is geared, it should be equal if not have a slight edge when it comes to acceleration from a standstill. I don't know if these vids are authentic stock 7AT like they claim, but they are doing low 13's in the quarter mile.

Here is a stock sedan 7AT doing 13.06 @106.3 mph

This stock 7AT guy doing a 1/8 8.714 @82.41 mph, beating 335 twice in the vid.

Another stock 7AT with a 2.03 60ft:

Stock 7AT vs GTR (g37 got 13.1 @105.9, GTR was 10.7 @127):

The last vid is of a member here. Related thread:

So it's not a slow slushbox...just a bit boring at times.

But imagine that HP with a 6mt. Much more fun than the Wii controller it currently uses.
