Stupid VDC....

Scared the **** out of me. On a dry day, I took curvy part of the road rather quickly and started to skid a little and the VDC kicked in and tried to "fix" everything, causing me to swerve 2 or 3 times trying to regain control of the car... The only time I've felt more out of control of a car is when attempting to futilely brake when its icy out.

haha glad you're ok...it can be kind of shocking the first time it kicks on, but once you know where it's limit is, it's not too bad

or just turn in off

Maybe holding the wheel on course would have allowed it to self correct. It sounds like you were fighting it while it was trying to keep you on the road.

I'm betting the VDC was doing a better job of keeping you on the road than you were....

Sounds like he was trying to drive his car. Maybe he doesn't want the computer doing the driving for him.

Well, there's this button that turns the VDC OFF, you know, if he wanted to end up in the weeds....

If your VDC is on, let it do it's job, if you think you can beat it, switch it off (not recommended on public roads)

I say turn it off and try the same curve at the same speed and report back what happened... if you can.

I took this same curve at a similar speed in my piece of **** front wheel drive 3000gt, I'm pretty sure I could've handled it in the g37 without VDC help....Keep in mind, this was NOT a sharp curve whatsoever(see below) and it was a 4 lane road.

the problem is when you push the car too much.....lots of torque will make you lose control of the car....anywho do it and report back what happened... if you can

Are we talking about the G37 here? I might have gotten lost. Someone said that "too much torque" would cause you to lose control. I'm still in for that "buckets of torque" group buy if anyone every finds them.

I would love to see what some of you guys would do behind the wheel of a Viper. Just make sure you wear a diaper.
