Dealer no longer changing oil w/ "ticking tsb"?

At the dealer (miller Infiniti) now getting TSB 08-028 done "ticking noise from engine", but they're saying they don't replace the ester oil for free, they only do the ecu re-program now. Can anyone confirm? How would I check this?
Thanks!

Do you have a copy of the TSB? If it requires an oil change, it will call for same in writing. It would be cheaper to pay for an online copy of the TSB then to foot the bill for ester oil.

**EDIT** Just read the TSB, and it doesn't appear to call for an oil change. I'm not sure you can do too much in that case.

They replaced it with Ester oil free of charge when they did the waranty work but every oil change after that I paid the higher cost.

is this a new Miller policy? I just did my oil about 4 months ago (switched back to ester), and it was free under TSB.

Hi everyone,

Sorry I'm kind of a newb but I was wondering what TSB is (looked it up it says Technical Service Bulletin, but not sure)

Also I THINK i'm having the same issues where my engine makes that weird knocking sound when its idling. I found a clip of someone else's G37S doing the same thing...

YouTube - G37 Sound

Does this mean I should go to the dealership to get my oil changed from now on?
I have a 2008 G37S with about 17K miles in it
I've had its oil changed at a local shop about 4 times before too, but I JUST noticed the sound (not sure if it was even there before)

It'd be great if someone can explain, thanks!
