G37 power question

Hey, I currently have a 2006 bmw 325I and I am thinking about changing my car. I am thinking about getting a used 335 coupe or a used g37 coupe. I know about all of the performance mods I can do to the 335 and how much power I can get out of it with a chip, meth, dps, etc... I can definitely get 400+ whp from the 335. But, how does it compare to a g37? How much power can you get out of a g37 without supercharging it? Is it pricey to get alot of power out of it?

Gains on a G37 are much harder to come by, but then again, the G37 is also less expensive than the 335i by a decent amount (if you compare same yr, relatively same equipment level, etc).

Just like HP_John said, to get HP gain in a G37 is much harder because there is no stock Turbo. When a car has a stock Turbo all you have to do is chip it so you up the PSI on your turbo and your car will have instant HP gain.

You will never see the same gains out of a G37, sucks being NA. But if you do boost it, it will have considerably higher gains than a 335i.

(Plus has nicer interior)

It can be done for 12k if you do the work yourself. Or about 8k for a supercharger.

how much power would you expect out of the supercharger that costs 66xx? I mean im not even sure if I need that power. Im 19 so I think even the 325 has enough power and if I decide to get the g37 ill have about $7k-8k of mod money left over from parting my car out. Ill get some coilovers, work vs-xxs and idk what else. I was also looking at an 06 e60 M5 but that would kill me on gas since the only thing i do for a job is a vendor over on e90post

haha im not sure if i NEED it but its always nice to have. I have just always liked the G37 but i think the 335i would be faster. The reason i am considering the G37 is because i want something new and the 335 would have the same interior I have in my car now. Also, I dont want to deal with the fuel pump issues in the 335i.

Just give it a test drive, you should be sold pretty quick haha

Going all in with bolt-ons (CAI, Long Tube Headers, Catback, Lightweight Pullies) and a proper tune, you'd probably see about a 50whp gain? But that would cost you a nice $4000 in parts and labor. If you're looking to race your car at the drag strip & straights, there are better options out there.

hmm, also, I know that on the BMWs the sport package is a must have because of the seats and steering wheel. What is a must have package on the G37?
