.
I totally disagree about not getting the sport package due to eventual upgrades to the suspension. there's more to the sport package than the stiffer shocks and springs.

Yes I know which is the front sport bumper which you get can for like 275 + painting. Other than that the springs and shocks are different. The engine is the same.

If there is more care to explain to me what other different things are there.

Sport seats, Limited Slip Differential, 19" wheels, 4 piston brakes!!

Come on man, that's a hard package to pass on a "sports" car

G37 + bolt ons = Pretty Reliable

G37 + FI = Fairly Reliable

335i + chip = Good For Now

335I + chip - Warranty = Good Luck Pal

thanks for making the quick point.

paddle shifters for the AT, better steering ratio evens out the package... the only reason to not have a sport package on a sport coupe is because your mommy said no as she was signing the purchase contract...

the only difference between the 6mt S and the Journey S is the transmission. other than that they're exactly the same. except for the 09 7AT. the only difference between the two are the transmission and about 0.3 0.4 seconds going from 0-60... ha ha ha j/k

but yeah Base Journey vs S is a completely different car.

Well most of the stuff you can get expect LSD and with the $1603 (invoice pricing) I save I can get after market parts for the car. Suspension, Brakes, wheels.

I would of gone that route if I didn't get the 6mt.

Please explain to me how on earth you can get those for $1603! The 19" wheels used (in good condition) will run you like 1500 btw, let alone new.

Well I mean to say not all of those with that kind of money. Like I can get suspension, after market brakes, or what ever the $1603 can get me.

Also, I know some people who can get whole sale pricing for wheels, parts etc. I got my after market coil overs for almost $1100.

Wheels you can get some good one for 1600 but that means you already wasted what you saved.

Wow you are really not making this connection are you?

You cannot get decent wheels for 1600, decent wheels run about 3k. PLUS you still need to add another 1000-1200 for tires, 200 for lug nuts, 200 for TPMS.
The OEM 19s cost 614.14 each from the dealer. That is 2400 dollars for all 4, not counting tires.

The Akebono brakes run about 1600 themselves, no including labor to install.

The LSD is 1572.97 fron the dealer.

Springs will cost about 220 plus 20 for shipping, plus 200 for install, plus 150 for alignment.

For the sport seats the OEM dealer cost is 3,468.67 Each.

There are complete TT kits for the G37S out there for $12k. At around 6 lbs boost you should see ~596 whp. After that you'll need to upgrade more things like rods, etc.

I know about all of the performance mods I can do to the 335 and how much power I can get out of it with a chip, meth, dps, etc... I can definitely get 400+ whp from the 335. But, how does it compare to a g37? How much power can you get out of a g37 without supercharging it? Is it pricey to get alot of power out of it?

if you are really looking for that much power go with the 335.

Dang, Those seats are expensive! lol

The big brakes are great! and since they are already big, upgrading the rotars will be easy for us since the calipers can already handle to large stuff.

The price for the LSD is just for that part. To install it, tack on a few hundred to $1,000 for install!

Remember that in the Bimmer world, the LSD is what will always set apart the M from the non M's. Those who drive the 335 and want the LSD are paying close to $3,000 just to effectively use their cars as the M does...especially when the road isn't straight.

The sport package isn't/wasn't even an option...it should be standard among a sports car enthusiat! It's why they give you the sports package standard when you by a standard. So get the dang package (if you get the G of course ). It'll still be $8k cheaper with that and the nav package compared to a comparably equiped 335...and you'll love the interior much more than the 335 which is where you spend most of your time anyways. At least I think so.

Hopefully you're looking at the 6MT (more fun/hp)

full-exhaust and a custom uprev tune will get you to around 300WHP which is plenty for the VQ37 imo and the engine will remain more dependable than a chipped 335 for sure.

+ Coilovers, Wheels, alignment, corner-balancing etc and you're still saving money over the 335.

personally if I were a BMW driver, I'd just skip all the clutter of 330s and 335s and save up for the M3.
