At full throttle, in MM, the 7AT upshifts feel more direct and sporty than the 5AT to me. It locks up the torque converter more in the upper gears.
The downshifts in the 5AT feel better to me than the 7AT- has a sportier feel to the engagement because you don't have to hunt for appropriate gears as much. But once you get to know the drive train you will get used to that. IMHO I think a 6AT would have actually been a perfect choice for those of us who like to use the paddles most of the time. With that said, as Skyline73 mentioned above, they are both great slushboxes. The tranny one either would not be a deciding factor for me one way or another.



The 370Z has the exact same 7AT as the G37.

if you are talking about synchro rev matching like 370z, it's only for manual.
The 6MT g37s has synchro rev matching?
