You guys ever get this??

I have a 2009 g37x so i decided to go to this parking lot and do donuts, so i did 2 and all of sudden the car sputtered on me, then it stalled. so i let it sit for 10min then i started it up and my fuel needle read as if i had no gas. Then i turned it off and it just ran normal. Very weird. I think i am done with the awd donuts.

Ever driven an Evo 9?

+1 to what everyone said though, the AWD system on the G37's were not designed for such abuse

Ok - so what happened here? Was this an over-temperature situation that caused the car to shut down? I've driven donuts many times in my old Audi A6 2.7T - never a hint of problem. I wouldn't expect the car to pack-it-in after 2 spins.

I wouldn't call doing 2 donuts in the snow much abuse at all. It wouldn't have overheated anything since it was cold out to begin with. Make sure you keep the traction control (VDC) off next time and see if that helps.

If it was deep enough you could have gotten water into your gas tank sensor possibly?

he never said it was in the snow...I've been in the G plenty of times doing donuts on dry pavement, I was thinking that's what OP meant...

Silver, was it snow or dry pavement?

My Canadian heritage showing up too - naturally assumed this was in the snow. When I was a teen learning to drive in Toronto we'd go to the Canadian Tire parking lot whenever it snowed. Great fun and good practice.

it was pavement, it was about 20degress outside, so i did one donut then the next one i felt like it was going to just start spinning. but then it just died after that..
