Why is it so difficult to sell our cars for a good price?

I bought my G37S coupe on 30 Sept 09 the sticker was $44,200 and I paid $2500 under invoice. I hope I got a good deal. They tried to bump me up, but I wouldn't budge. I paid cash so I didn't need any finance deals.

I normally buy a new car every 2 years and just trade the old one in, when I bought the G i decied I wasnt going to do that anymore. so much money is lost on depreciation, but really that only applies if you sell it. This car is going to be with me for as long as it still runs. so thank you G37 for saving me depreciation in 2010!

I can second the fact that manual models have a much less trade in/resale value, especially in the midwest. Recently I've been considering getting rid of my G35 sedan which I purchased last January for $31,260 otd (MSRP $37,150) due to some other financial issues, but the trade in offers have been ridiculous. One dealer told me $18K!
The best value I got was from a Mercedes dealer in Cleveland who offered me $23k, and I think he only gave me that much cuz I lied and said my payoff was $23k (actually little under $22k).
A Volkswagen dealer was actually honest with me and said to wait it out a few months once the snow clears, since no one wants a RWD manual sports sedan in the winter.

Yeah. I am the one who bought 2009 G37S Black on Black automatic fully loaded, 3800miles on it. Prem, Nav, Sport with spoiler, Illuminated kick pad.
I got it for 34K total, and it seems to me that I got a great deal, and it was from like a legit Lamborgini Dealer. They got this car traded in middle aged man who took Lambo back, so probably previous owner took great care.
Car is still in perfect condition, and no problem till now except bubbling seats, and stupid dent I made
But now i see from autotrader that most cars (2008 and about 20k miles on it tho) are around high 20's, Questioning me (for my car) if one more year of warranty, a lot lower miles, 7sp transmission is worth 5k more..?? But I love my car.
