the G37 is priced at $483,000 RMB with prem and nav package.
with today's rate it turns to $70,743 USD.
and the loaded 09 G37 here costs around $40k.
You can check it out on the Infiniti China site.
Infiniti G Sedan
The GT-R was selling 1 million - 1.2 million HKD when it first came out in HK.
At the time the US price was $70k USD before the price hike.
similar with the M3 and C63 AMG.

Unfortunately, not everyone understands Economics and benefits of free trade. Like why the fck is a third azz world country like Lebanon enforcing import tariffs on Automobiles?? It's not like they have domestic production which they need to sell...
Freaking greedy governments man

So really... if you can afford a car in a third world country, by their standards, you're balling it up.

dunno bout china, but taiwan for example a general rule of thumb to follow is that a car in the US is about 2x-2.5x more expensive in taiwan. a 40k g37 would be about 95k in taiwan, mostly taxes, and if ur engine size is bigger there's an exponential green tax on that. i.e. a 4.7liter v8 would be alot as suppose to a 1.8liter 4cyl
Talk about other countries all day long, but as soon as the EPA starts looking at CO2 as a major concern (Oh they just did) then we Americans will have these mighty taxes. Soon we will have all to pay a carbon tax on cars (hopefully based on year, since a 1944 cars produces significantly more polution than a car built today). I think the next time I buy a combustion only powered car, I'll have to pay a large tax for the pollution. Maybe we should just tax the older cars since they make the most poolution. Imagine a beater that today costs $1,000 might have a yearly tax of $2,000 to keep it on the road. Now that's green. Kinda like the reverse of cash for clunkers.
