Red or Yellow?

I would have done a poll if I knew how (maybe admins can change my post). For those that have installed a Optima battery in their G, have you gone with Red or Yellow?

You can add a poll yourself. Edit your post (advanced) and look at the options at the bottom.

Any issues with shipping, etc? Awful darn heavy, was it charged or did you have to charge it when you received it?

depends on you. If you live in states are usually more cold than i would go with the Red top. If you live on the west coast/Warm areas and have audio performance in the vehicle than you go with the Yellow top. Summit Racing - High Performance Car and Truck Parts l 800-230-3030 where i got mine and was quick. group 35 is still the same as the previous generation.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the comments, you are the second to recommend Summit Racing.
I'm still up in the air as red vs yellow. I have no audio add-ons and doubt we will ever add anything to cause additional drains other than GPS or Cell phone chargers via the cigarete adapter. I live in Northern MD, we run the gammit of temps/seasons.... 25-40 in the winter 90-100 in summer.

I will be changing to Red, as i heard yellow is meant more for audio systems and you don't get full use if you don't completely decharge it or something "deep cycle" battery?

Anyways, would you be able to do a picture/video DIY if you are changing yours =P

Red has 100 more CCA then yellow however yellow's almost 100Amps over OEM spec and would work just fine as a starter in any climate with our car's requirement. The key with yellow is it's designed to maintain constant voltage throughout discharge and also stand up to being discharged/charged or cycled in addition to supplying plenty of starting power. I tend to leave my car sitting for a week or two every now in then which has been enough drain to kill our OEM battery. The last thing I want to experience is a dead car in airport parking. I also have a sub so considering that and the fact this car's never really off, I went with yellow.

^ also because its dry cell.

I went with YellowTop due to all the electronics. Although you can't go wrong with either. Had a RedTop in my last car and I was perfectly happy with that as well.
