Wow. Really?

Didn't want my first post to be like this, but I felt like it should be posted.

Last night there was a huge party full of high school kids at the house across the street from me. Heard a lot of commotion, but didn't get to call the police in time before things got out of hand. Apparently after some arguing, some guy decided to hit some girl in the face with a beer bottle which resulted in pretty much the entire party (50+ people) mobbing him. Luck be it, he decides to run across the street right into my driveway where my car was parked, which of course the 35+ people ran after and the resulting brawl gave me this.

As it stands...
Driver door is scratched
Left Fender has a huge dent + scratches
Left headlight has minor scratches
Right fender has scratches
Right door has scratches
Right quarter-panel has scratches
Bunch of small dings in various spots

Police report has already been filed, and insurance has yet to call me back.

Any tips on how to handle this? Any shops in the Orange County area that can be recommended?

So many of today's youth are just way out of hand. Animals. Sorry for your damage.

Welcome to the forum anyway.

Sorry to hear about the damage man! I agree with Black Betty....a lot of today's teenagers need a reality check. Way out of hand. Good luck with the repairs. In all reality, you could sue the parents of the kid who had the party if he/she was a minor and make their insurance pay for your damages. You should not have to pay a CENT out of pocket.

Sorry to see man. At least with most accidents, the damage is focal. I mean, this is everywhere on your car. I agree, most kids these days are drunk morons, and should be shot on sight..... Darwin's spinning in his grave....

Wow... I feel bad for ya man.

I do have two shops I'd recommend, and neither are in OC, but they both do top notch work.

1. Auto Explosion in Gardena.
2. Holmes Autobody in Riverside (Infiniti/BMW/Mercedes/Porsche specialized body shop).

Neither is cheap, but if insurance is paying for it, who cares?

1. Sue the host (home owners) of the party for the damages. Let their insurance company worry about it.

2. Clean up your garage and park your car in it.

3. Be very discriminating when it comes to choosing a repair shop.

All in all, sorry to hear about that. That sucks. Welcome to the boards!

Make the kids pay for it not the parents. Often times the parents are decent and kids find out that their parents are gone for the weekend. Next thing you know, half the town is at the house. Make the kids work off the damage for their parents. None the less, do what you got to. I can't remember the name of the shop I always wanted to use, but they are in Lake Forest.

Auto Explosion does good work. They're not in Monterey Park, they're in Gardena. I've gotten work done from them before and have seen their award winning cars.

Similar thing happened to me 2 years ago with my last G. Some guy was stalkin my fat neighbor and 5 cops beat his *** up against my car ahha.

Comprehensive covered it so my ins didnt go up, i did have to lay out my deductible though which my ins said they were gonna go after the guy for and id get it back, which still hasnt happened and doubt it will.

You can't legally compell a minor to pay for anything as they are not financially responsible for their actions, the parents are. You can't sue a kid. Actually you can, but you have to include the parents too to get anything.
