Battery for Key

I am pissed that the key fob battery life is so short. (~ 2 years)
And definitely ... do NOT save a couple bucks on no-name batteries. Stick with recognizable names like Duracell, Energizer, etc ...
Easy install.
Just wanted to vent.

There's also a few other factors
-Rechargables lose charge over time much faster than Lithium
-Rechargables hold less charge per "volume"
-Rechargables run at a lower voltage
Making the port recharge would not be cost-effective; you'd need either metal contacts on the key (cheap and tacky, they don't even make the Infiniti symbol on the key metal), or use induction (expensive). Either way, it would still cost more with the battery.
I'm okay with spending a few bucks on batteries every year...

So... I'd change it if you see the light come on, just to avoid the hassle.

Not 100% on this... But if that fob straight up dies... You can't start your car.
