Daily driver currently, but at the rate I'm racking up the miles, I'm strongly considering picking up a beater to drive to work 2x/week.

It was a toy for a year and a half until I sold my Accord. For now, it's my daily driver. Hopefully pretty soon it'll go back to my weekend car again.

Just curious, how many miles do you have on the car, it being weekend only?

When I had my car as a weekend car, I accumulated 7500 miles in one year (well, I'd drive it on a weekday here and there, but 90% of the time it was the weekend car). Right now, I'm at 1 year 9 months and have 17650 miles. This became my daily driver about a month ago.

Wow, I'm surprised by the low mileage numbers. I'm going on 13 months with my '08 and I just turned 30,000 miles. That's with driving a 4Runner for most of the winter and only living 5 miles away from work. Apparently I take a lot of road trips on weekends.

I drive my G to the mass transit train M-F. It's about 1.5 miles from my house. My car is over a year old and just this last weekend turned over 10k miles. Does this constitute a daily driver or a weekend toy???

It is a DD. You are just lucky that you only have to drive 3 miles/day. Of course you still have to worry about door dings.

I bought mine with every intention of it being a daily driver however I just know that when winter comes along I'll end up picking up a scion xD, or a yaris, or something cheap to drive around in ****ty weather or on really long / lame trips.

Daily driver. My wife loves this car so much she'd rather we drive it on the weekends instead of her Pathfinder and I'm not complaining!
