Hi Everyone,

I just picked up my G37 coupe last week and am having a blast driving it (slowly of course, breaking it in ). I was just wondering what does the A signify next to the big D on my instrument panel? I have an automatic and see it while I'm in normal drive mode (not DS). Thanks!

 

um haha that "A" is the first of the trip sets

Let's see. The digits next to the "A" increment as I drive. I wonder what those digits mean. Oh wait. If I drive a mile the digits increment by one. What could that possibly mean?

 

Actually the "A" next to the "D" on the indicator is the indication that you are in "Automatic" mode.

 

... and the "B" means "backing up".

I actually read through the manual and instrument panel section didn't specifically point out this icon like the rest. I thought it was a valid question, but I guess I should have expected the other responses.
