What's the little A next to the large D
 

Hi Everyone,

I just picked up my G37 coupe last week and am having a blast driving it (slowly of course, breaking it in :p). I was just wondering what does the A signify next to the big D on my instrument panel? I have an automatic and see it while I'm in normal drive mode (not DS). Thanks!

Let's see. The digits next to the "A" increment as I drive. I wonder what those digits mean. Oh wait. If I drive a mile the digits increment by one. What could that possibly mean? :7:

Actually the "A" next to the "D" on the indicator is the indication that you are in "Automatic" mode.

... and the "B" means "backing up".

I actually read through the manual and instrument panel section didn't specifically point out this icon like the rest. I thought it was a valid question, but I guess I should have expected the other responses.
