that's your leds' fault, remove them!

sure you can scan the errors at any service. at least it will give you the understanding if your car is driveable or should be towed

I'm putting my money, on Evaporative Fuel Leak.

And your stupid Service Advisor will only say, "Make sure to tighten your fuel cap."

Like we don't know that already, thanks.

I just had my first engine light come on too - at 473 miles!!!

I was halfway through a tank of gas when it came on last night. I went to Autozone and they said it was a "Small leak in the emissions system". I checked the gas cap, but that wasn't it. Anybody have any ideas? No mods, and my dealer is 50 miles away. It doesn't sound serious so I think I'm going to keep driving it until I am up around the dealer for work...

Tell the dealer to contact infiniti tech support line to fix the problem, otherwise you'll do the same thing as me, go in 5 times for the same thing over and over again. BTW, no guarantees it will work either. Just the last time they fixed it it stayed off for a longer period of time.

Did you get the same error? What did infiniti tech support tell them it was?

They replaced the filler neck piece of the gas tank, and replace the fuel cap I believe.

Ahhh... I'm assuming they don't carry that stuff in stock. I really don't want to have to leave my car up there....

Check the code. Follow this procedure but, when the light starts blinking, instead of releasing the gas pedal and putting it back down, JUST release it. Count the blinks. Should be in series of fours so (for a 2481 for example) you'll have for example 2 blinks, pause, 4 blinks, pause, 8 blinks, pause, 1 blink, and then it'll give you another code or repeat. Do that (and it really is about timing to get it properly) and report back what codes you pull and someone can look it up in the FSM
