No one turned it into anything. You posted an outlandish impossible claim with no proof what so ever to back it up and expect everyone to just beleive you. The church can do it, you cannot.

If your 'friend' really claims to have gotten 35 whp proven on a dyno, show us one of his threads. Three things could have happened:
A. He is a God among the E63 forums
B. He got laughed at just like you
C. You are lying again

People spend thousands on bolt on mods (intake, header, exhaust, tune) and sometimes dont even achieve 35 whp, but yet your 'friend' can do it with a plastic vent from home depot and some pvc tubing for 15 dollars. If this was infact possible, dont you think everyone would do this, including car manufactures. 35 whp is like 50 at the crank (rough estimate). Dont you think Infiniti would love to market the G37 as a 385 hp car for an additional 15 dollars in plastic? My painted door key cover cost more than that. Injected Perfomance installed Individual Throttle Bodies on the G35 (cost 8000) and with a tune got a gain of 35 whp.

Let me do a BMW example for you and your 'friend'.
BMW 328i Cost-36.5k Power-230hp Weight-3400
BMW 335i Cost-42.5k Power-300hp Weight-3580

So you are saying I can save 6k and just get the 328i and add 15 dollar air scoops? Take me up to 280hp, plus with the almost 200 lbs weight savings, I would would be able to keep with with the 335i no problem.

Is this your buddy? http://www.mbworld.org/forums/w211-a...63-engine.html

They make a good point... the "scoop" isn't going to function if the car is moving... will a dyno even show improvements in power, if there are any?

Because, it makes you sound uneducated. Now, I'm not calling you uneducated, because that would be rude. I'm just saying that's how it sounds.

If this thread somehow involved cats and captions, I'd consider letting it slide, but it doesn't. Love ya!

In no way will you feel the difference in power when adding "scoops" to a G37...
