Warranty claim denied even though im right

So my car has the black leather fading to white in a certain spot on both the driver & passenger seat. I complained to my service manager about it & he told me I see your problem, but I wont fix it. I will have to get a rep involved so I tell him thats fine. I even offer him pictures of the problem when it first started & he tells me to email them so he can forward them to the rep. Well I get a call back today from the manager & he tells me the rep agrees with you that the seats are fading, but he says that he will not fix them since technically its their car(its a lease) and they dont really care about it. This is hands down the worst treatment I have ever been show by any dealer or car manufacture. What a terrible company this is.

This is just one of those things, you could have the exact same problem in another vehicle yet some dealer would actually do something about it. Try another dealer if that's possible.

Also, it is NOT their car until you turn it in. That is a bull**** excuse, my salesman GAVE me free Premium maintenance to ensure I took care of this car I can't imagine being told "oh we don't care" I would have just sat there and bounced it off redline until they started to care about "their" car.

Wait so it is a lease and not a purchase.

If it is a lease than I think they can be right because you don't own the car the dealer still does but I think if you purchased it than you might be able to get a claim but I'm not 100% sure if that is the case.

Also, sorry about your experience =(. I hate reps like that.

Just make sure it's documented so that when you return the car they don't penalize you for the leather seat damage!

Yeah its all in the work order & i have contacted Consumer Affairs they havent gotten back to me yet(their computers were down), but more importantly it doesnt matter weather its a lease or purchase my rights to a valid warranty claim are same & its illegal to verify a consumer complaint & deny it. I have been complaining about this since I serviced the car the second time about 8 months ago. I will try to go to another dealer but remember all this is on my record & the rep that handled this dealer handles all of florida so it will probably have the same outcome.

I got to be honest & say that this has been the worst car buying experience & ownership ever & will never own another Nissan/Infiniti product. I really like the car, but my biggest problem is that when I have issues with it they either get blown off or it takes me multiple visits & massive amounts of bitching to get them to agree with me.

doesnt matter, i have a lease and they replaced my seats. What if you plan on buying the car after the lease is over, are you stuck with faded seats because your warranty is over? Thats some BS

I agree. I am on my 8th Nissan/Infiniti, some leased some bought, and my 3rd dealer and I have never had a problem with service or warranty repair.

I don't think so because by that logic, I can say you don't own your car even if you've purchased it with a loan from Infiniti since they can always repo your car if you don't make the payment.

You not owning the car is total BS and a lame excuse. Good luck and keep us updated.

Thanks guys appreciate the support I'm trying to work it out with consumer affairs, but now it seems that the rep story is changing & he says he didnt see the fading & if he would have he would replace the leather so Im just waiting to see what happens w/ consumer affairs b/c they feel that this crazy & poor treatment & looking deep into the issue.

Get it fixed then complain to customer affairs about your rep's unwillingness to help unless you had customer affairs involved, which is ridiculous, he should not get away with it.

You shouldn't have to work this hard to get warranty work done. Make him pay!

Looks like the service manager got caught in his BS, and is getting worried about corporate stepping in.

I've had both my seat covers replaced for that infamous "bubbling" issue which isn't nearly as bad as the leather fading to another color.
