Heat Soak

I know about heat soak and how a cooler engine makes more hp than a hot engine, but is it me or does this engine not seem more sensitive to it than many others?

I swear I feel like I'm loosing 20 hp just sitting in traffic.

yea, there's an optimal engine temperature...(around ~70-80 degree's c, or ~158-176 F) when ur sitting in traffic, the engine temperature will rise up and therefore ur car will feel more sluggish...
