Anyway, I can set that panic alarm off with the keyfob in the pocket of my khaki's, jeans, scrubs, coat pocket... I have even set it off while carrying a bag of groceries in the same hand I had my keys in. And it only seems to happen first thing in the morning, when my neighbors probably want to kill me for it.

How on earth is this not happening to everyone?!?

when you have them in your pocket do you have the buttons facing you or away from you
when I put my fob in my pocket I have the buttons facing away from me
and don't have any issues

As for where the buttons face, I never really thought about it. I think the problem is the other keys on my keyring folding over and pressing the buttons. Maybe I'll put some more thought into how I put them in my pocket and see if I can cut down on the pocket-panicking.
