Advice About Some Mods for My G37

Long time reader, first time poster ...I've had my G37 coupe since Mayish of 2008. I'm not big into racing or anything like that, thus I opted for the 5Speed Automatic. The only cars I've done work on are some crappy Civics/Accords/Integras my buddies have had...never anything on a car this nice. So before I dive head first into adding things, I figured I'd ask around on the forums to see if these upgrades are legit and also to get advice/possible other options...here's the list...

***Stillen: Gen 3 Ultralong Tube Dual Intake kit: http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...W03&c=PE&m=all (kinda figure I couldn't go wrong with this)

***Stillen: Rear Wing: http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...odel=G37%202DR (purely cosmetic, not really a big deal)

***Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Kit: http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...odel=G37%202DR (meh, don't really have my heart set on this)

***Stillen: Dual Exhaust System/Catback: http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...odel=G37%202DR (another NO DUH type of mod I guess)

Sorry for the long winded post, hope to get some advice here, thanks in advance!

only bad thing is the rear wing... If you want a spoiler.... OEM spoiler is the best and you can get it a www.everythingg37.com for a great deal!

but the other 3 things are good to go if thats what u want!

oem wing is tight like max said... and that's a sweeping generalization that 6MT owners are only into racing!

make sure you listen to clips/read reviews. don't get it and regret it, do your research first but that list looks pretty good

OP wanted to save himself the headache and buy everything from stillen
one thing I don't like in Stillen is that they don't specialize in one field, they work on everything.. its all about specializing IMO

stillen gen 3 is awesome .... except for the fact it sucks up a lil bit of water in the rain .... but when its not raining its kool .... I just put in the JIC coils after running springs for a while .... the JIC is bada$$ ... Its alot of $$$ but def worth the money personally i like it better than the KW's... and the exhaust get the HKS its sounds and looks bada$$ but of course its alot of $$$ ... next performance mods for me is the COBB tuner, headers and HFC ... supposedly intake, headers, exhaust, HFC's and a Cobb tune is suppose to be about 350 rwhp .... which is not bad for all motor street car with basic bolt ons

Awesome! Thanks for the speedy/quality advice guys. Thanks for setting me straight on the spoiler thing...when I got my 37 they didn't even have spoilers out at the time. Like I said, I'm not looking to build a big monstrous street machine, I just enjoy a good ride in a quality car...but I still would like to be able to put down a moron or two who roll up to the red light and rev their Civics at me.

About the rain thing and the intake...I live in Louisiana, lots of rain..lots of flooding, should I take a rain check (no pun intended) on the Intake?

Have you had KWs on your g37 to compare to?

and you are a lil off on your HP wishes... if your lucky 320whp on a dynojet with all of those mods and a custom tune...

Chuck81 have u expierienced your intake sucking up water first hand or are u passing along the rumor, I've has the stage 3 on for the last 3 weeks in some intense rain and have gone though deep puddles, etc and have had no problems whatsoever. You may have your shield incorrectly installed because I've checked the filters after driving around in rain and they're nice and dry

I'd recommend to not mod and just keep the money. I'd like to but the money loss is too much to handle on top of the money lost with the vehicle itself. So, I'd rather not though I certainly would like to. Another reason is we don't keep the cars that long and this one may be traded before the tires have to be replaced - I don't even like to buy tires and especially not looking forward to buying 19" tires.

We enjoy the performance and looks as it comes from the factory.

The only thing you have to worry about w/ civics is them crashing into you attempting to do a ricer fly-by. Like Sam said, don't even acknowledge civicbois.
