At my shop I put a floor jack on the rear diff and jack it up about 2ft. after that im able to swing the lift arms under and adjust the arms to proper position and just lift the car with the lift

Just invest in a 2x8 piece of wood. That will do it.
Yup... I had a WRX that was slammed so I invested in a couple pieces of wood. Whenever I go for a service, I throw it in the trunk, take it out and slap it on the service dude's face. Problem solved.
