Tint Question

Got a 6MT coming soon. Dealer is going to do the tint. Do you think 20% on the sides, 5% on the back will look decent?

Hey I got my done 20% all around and I think mine is dark enough.. just make sure you check you state tint laws my state is 27% but I get away with 20%, if it were darker I am sure they would make me take it off which sucks!! Here are some pictures of my car with 20% tint all around.

I've got this setup on my car and it's perfect.

Not too worried about the 20% - AZ is 33% but I've had 20 on my other cars w/o a problem. Just curious if 5% on the rear will look okay. G2 do you have any pics of your car? Thanks.

I had my tint done for right at $200 at a tint shop that I have trusted for 10 years.. the dealership wanted $300.

I think 5% will look nice but the problem is if the cops see it and pull you over they will make you take it off which sucks most cops have a tester that knows the tint level.. this has happened to me a while back on another car..

Crap...I lied...I've got 20% on the sides and 15% on the rear tee hee. 5% won't look bad though.

5% is kind of dark, i would stay away from that unless you don't mind potential harassment from the police. I don't really like the look of going with different shades of tint on my car though, i prefer it all around 1 shade.

I use 10% sides and back. I also live in Miami where you can typically get away with this because of all the law breakers and the weather

The only problem with 15%, 10% & 5% is at nighttime you cant see out on dark streets. So hopefully someone isn't riding a bicylce with no headlights and reflectors LOL!

Looks like I'm gonna do 20% all around. There's tint already on the windows right? So will 20% actually be a little darker than a "standard" 20 or is it minimal?

stock it should be completely clear. The front windshield has a tint from the factory that's inside the glass. its the first few inches, id probably leave the front windshield alone.
