Angry Car Accident-EST $13,000 Damage.. so far

Not even 10k miles on my baby and that day after Thanksgiving... and WHAM, T-boned an 84-year old lady in a Toyota Camry who didn't read the "Yield to Oncoming Traffic" sign. She turned left without yielding, narrowly missing a minivan with a mom and her kids, and then stopped right in front of me. I hit her going about 35-40mph, and spun her car around 200 degrees.

Luckily the lady in the minivan pulled over and let me know that it wasn't my fault, because my first thought was "HOLY SH*T DID I RUN A RED LIGHT?!?!"

Drove it home, car got towed from my house (still runs normal, so it seems) to a luxury car specialist that Infiniti recommended, and the rough estimate is $13,000. Everyone involved in the accident is OK, my girlfriend had a little seatbelt burn and stiff neck/back () Gonna take her to see a doctor if it's any worse today.

Destroyed list
-Front bumper/grille assy.
-Intelligent Cruise Control sensor
-Tow connection (had the Stillen front license plate holder)
-Bumper reinforcement is at like a 45 degree angle now

The list is going to grow, they haven't taken it apart yet.

Front airbags deployed and the seatbelts are useless now, but they both did their job great.

I know this is useless without pictures, my roommate took some, but I can't find his damn camera, and the car is gone. I sure hope the claim process goes smoothly, because I'm in the Military and I'm leaving the states for a few months at the end of December.

Wish me luck! Drink one for me!

Sorry to hear bro... You're here to tell us about it. That's more important than the car.

Keep us updated on the repairs.

Wow - sorry to hear about ur car - but the most important thing is that no one got hurt (seriously). These cars seem to do really well in accidents, the passenger compartment holds up great. I haven't heard of any major injuries yet.

Ill drink a couple for you. I cant tell you how often something like that has almost happened to me. After a certain age, you need to have to take a test to be sure its still safe for you to drive
