Every single person that has some experience with the G37 knows, whether they admit it or not, that Black Obsidian is the best looking color on this car. It's not a matter of choice, opinion, or preference.
The fact is, Black Obsidian is a striking car color. It forgoes the distracting metallic flakes and flighty pearl effects in favor of a pure black that looks incredibly deep and glossy wet, yet reflects light like a diamond. Some describe it as wet candy when it's detailed with carnauba wax, or black chrome when it's detailed with the right paint sealant.
No other color in the line comes anywhere near the depth and gloss that is achievable by Black Obsidian.
Nissan hit the mark perfectly by describing it as obsidian, the beautiful volcanic rock that looks like smooth black glass.
The flip-side, is that it's very difficult to maintain. Don't get Black Obsidian if you cannot take the time and resources to keep it beautiful.
