I don't want to get into Marketing theory with you but as it is Nissan/Infiniti is marketing the Z to a different segment than the G37. If G37 receive the same power and charectristics of the Z, then they must either discontinue the Z model, or they should make the price of the G37 much higher to avoid cannibalism. But at as it is they are getting the market share of 2 slightly different segments.

 

I just went for the test drive of a G37S. I loved it, the height issue wasn't a problem either (I'm 6'4). According to the salesman he was giving me $12,000 discount, I know he was BSing me but I think it was a good starting price.

His offer was the 08 G37S without the Navi, including Winter setup $43k(CAD) plus taxes. I think if I negotiate, I can still get a couple of thousands off. Is this a good deal or should I wait for the g37x 09?

 

$12k off? from my small conversion knowledge, sounds pretty good. so you're paying like low 30s in us which isnt that bad. you can probably knock off some more since its not navi. if you want the best deal, then get the 08 for cheap.

ps. g = LUXURY. z = SPORT. get over it.
