Winter Storage
16. Open up the battery cells and fill up with distilled water, NOT tap water. Tap water contains impurities that can shorten the life of batteries.

I've been storing my car for as long as I can remember. That list is horrible.
Here's all I do.
1. Wash/detail car (remove ALL food)
2. place laundry sheets in the interior and engine bay (keeps mice away just as good as Mothballs)
3. Fill gas tank
4. Remove wheels and tires, place car on jack stands
5. Plug exhaust with rag
6. remove battery, bring inside.
SHIZZAM you're good to go.

28. In the spring, start it up and let it idle until it's almost warmed up before driving it anywhere and then drive it easy for a couple of miles so your transmission, differential & CV joints can get a good lube "workout".
And what if you step on the mousetraps?
I've seen people do that. My question is, does putting it on jack stands adds unnecessary stress to the body? Can over inflating your tires and parking on carpet reduce flat spotting?
