Question Loose rubber guard hanging in both sides? Known issue?

I was cleaning my car and noticed there was a rubber piece hanging in front of my left rear wheel. I looked at the right side and noticed it was also hanging. I figured that’s how they’re supposed to be since both sides were hanging down but it just didn’t look right so I looked under and noticed there is a plastic hook that would keep the rubber piece attached to the top. I find it unusual that both sides were missing the plastic hook which kept the rubber piece attached to the metal and wondered if any of you had experienced with similar issue and what was your solution to it. Is this a known issue?

See the attached picture for visual.

Thanks for your help and input.

I noticed this on the right rear once while I was washing my car. Not sure why it came loose, but the barbed conical protrusion was still there, so I was able to easily reattach it. I didn't think there was a plastic hook or anything.

I think the piece you're talking about is missing on one of my side. I did push back one side and the other side is missing the piece and has an empty hole. I'm just not sure that should happen with normal driving; especially in both sides.

Happened to me too on both sides. I thought it was odd as well as i haven't scraped on anything, it just seemed to come loose. There is a plastic fastener that apparently came out. Both of mine were stilll in the rubber guard though. They should give you another fastener at the dealership.

Thanks. Hopefully they won't make me pay for them.

This happened to me on one side. They just fixed it under warranty, and said they're seeing it often.
