2008 vs 2009

Ok still I'm without a G37 cause I can't decide to wait for the 09 or get an 08. What I put in my sig is what I plan on choosing. But i'm wondering besides the AWD and 7 speed transmission what other new things is it going to have? Will it have an around view camera and the scratch shield paint and what else?

thanks guys

-mike

AWD and sport aren't availble together. If your going Auto and Sport defiantely wait for the 09 7AT. In addition to self healing clear coat, the seat heaters are radial adjustable versus low/high/off. That's it, but that's enough.

Not much change for the 09's.

If you wait till 10 they might have the G37Sx, thats what they did with the sedan.

I also was wondering if I should pull the trigger on an 08 because of the 0.9% fin rate, or just wait for the 2009 with the A7 and the other goodies.

I'm in the same situation.

It's up to you. If cash is an issue, you can get an '08 for a good price. If cash is not the issue, wait for the '09.

No, it will not have around the vehicle view camera, just rear.

You might also get lucky and get the full voice Nav/temperture commands and not the stripped down version that MOST '08 G's have.

I was in the same shoes as you, deciding to either wait for an 09 or buy an 08. I was buying (not leasing) and after some thinking - I decided to go with an 08. To me the differences weren't big enough to wait for a few more months and pay a few grand more.
For me, the biggest advantage of 09 vs. 08 is the 7 speed tranny. from my understanding, the difference in MPG is immaterial - 1 or 2 at best MPG. The fact that 08 tranny has been out for a while vs. a new 7 speed made the decision a little bit easier.

As far as the paint - it would be nice to have self healing paint - but any buffing and it will destroy this "self healing" ingredients.

but that was for me - its up to you.
