Absolutely, I definitely did quite a bit of random driving around last night just to enjoy it. They told me to try to keep it below 5k rpm for the first 1,000 miles. There is of course always the whole "break-in period is bs" debate, and I'm sure I'll exceed 5k a few times but I figure I'm going to keep this for awhile so I might as well play it safe. Enjoy your new G!

If I were in your situation I would wait on the 7sp. May as well wait and save while you wait and then spend the few extra bucks you saved for the upgrades.
Some of the interior materials will be slightly improved on the G37 as well.

Shane!

I've been thinking of getting a new G. My Dad's been eyeing my Baby G... I may just give it to him and buy myself a new one.

He's on remission now... and he's been driving his old car. He's always like the G he said. I'm still looking @ my budget though.

I was going to get the 335i like the others. but after a few BMW dealer visited, their bad customer service really turn me down. The infiniti dealer is much more friendly and willing to work with the deal.

For the performance, I like 335i better. The interior totally different style, it depends on what style you like. The G's NAV is more responsive than the 335i. After the compare with both car, G37s still a better choice base on the price, performance, option package and the customer service.

This is a fun car to drive, no doubt.

i am a biased bmw lover, had a z3, a z4, test drove two 1 convertibles, a 135i and a 128i, as well as a 328i coupe. i don't know why i was always so in love with bmw, i guess because my parents instilled that bias in me and a quickly became a snob about it. we have leased six bmw's and bought out one after the lease was up and purchased another demo, but in the end i chose my G (signed the papers last night!) hands down because of the price. i'd be pushing my funds if i went with one of the bmws and my boyfriend insisted i was getting a better car all around. even though i haven't even had it for 24 hours yet i'm definitely not disappointed!

i second this. i walked into three bmw dealerships and just felt like they really didn't give a crap if i bought from them or not. so i walked out and said

lol.

If you feel BMW sales force doesn't think much about their clients, I believe this behavior is consistent even at BMW Head Office. I get less hassle from Infiniti. Overall, you won't miss much from BMW - particularly when their quality isn't really there. Overheating issues with 335 even after intercooler were installed. BMW tuning crackdowns. New ECU software created turbo lags. Sunroof cracks from sunlight...etc. I enjoyed my Infiniti's so much I now have 2 at home.

My wife I own a few vehicles including a Benz and I have to say I looked at and drove more than a few different vehicles before I bought the G. Included in those were the BMW 335 and X6. For the most part all of the BMW dealers staff suffered from severe cases of "Rectal Cranial Inversion"!

I like the G because there weren't too many people driving around back when I bought mine in 05. Now, there are more & more. However, I know when I move down to L.A., I'll just be another car.

I'm one of the "few" who pondered between the 335i and the G37S. The G has just so much to offer options wise and over the BMW for a great price. My sister drives a 328 sedan and she's had those irritating problems with the BMW. This is my first INFINITI and I'll probably buy another (FX50 S) ha ha, for a family car.
