Thumbs down Scratched inside door handles...WTF?

My car is 2 months old and my inside door handle looks as if its been through the war. I am a fairly big boy (6'5") and the change in my pocket seems to be tearing up the door handle. What do i have to do? Wear velvet pants?(LOL) Are the dealers doing any thing about this under warranty? I absolutely love my ride, But this seems to me to be a design flaw. What do ya's all think? Thanks!.........Big John

The '09 version is replacing the aluminum inside door handles with the Washi finish. Once the '09's are released, you might be able to replace urs with the new ones......

Dave... Let us know when the Washi door trim pieces for the 09s are available. I'm sure this will help those having problems with the aluminum pices.

I plan on switching mine as soon as they are availalble. I have always hated that with the G's. My 03 had scratches all over it from biotches finger nails and rings.

Most dealership parts departments should have replacement pieces about 2 - 3 months after a vehicle launch. By then, the aftermarket guys can make any color combo you want too!

Yeah, this seems to be a common problem. I don't get why they didn't just use the washi aluminum.

That's why I made sure to test drive at a dealership I wasn't going to buy from. I beat the **** out of the car I tested haha. The dealer's face was priceless.

Wouldn't the Washi trim on the door handles get scratched too with our watches, etc.? I mean I agree it should have been included to match the rest of the interior but...

Maybe a bit, but not nearly as much. The material they used here is inherently prone to scratching.
