Yeah, you could have your back windows painted black it doesn't matter, the driver and passenger can only have a shade of tint on it so light it's only purpose is to cut the UV rays out, it has no darkening qualities though. It's a nearly clear film.

 

I've heard darkest legal is 30% Fronts and 20% side and rear in FL, tint shop put that on when I asked for darkest legal too. I like mine that way though, doesn't interfere with night driving.
