You might be confused alittle by earlier posts, I drove off the infiniti lot with my plates on my car. Didn't wait at all.

 

When did you get the plate?

how? was it a pre-owned car that someone brought back?

 

In New York they issue you your license plate same day.

Wasn't preowned. Brand new car.

 

well aren't ny car owners lucky

 

I also drove off the lot with a plate (Florida).

 

Weird, in CA we just drive it off the lot and wait for the plates to come in a few weeks. That's why when you see someone without a plate, it often means it's a new car (especially if it's got cardboard plate that shows the dealer name).

I never want to put my plate on.

 

Have had my G35 for over 2yrs now...still didn't put plates on...No big deal

 

4 weeks for custom vanity plate and right away for the regular one.

 

Refuse to buy the car unless they give you a license plate THAT DAY!

Tell the sales manager to have one of his salesmen take one off their own personal cars if he tries to get smarmy with you. You gotta be tough with these clowns these days.

 

Plate was waitin at the dealer for me. Canada rocks.

 

PA guy here...I told them I wanted the car on Monday and I'd pick it up on Wednesday...By the time I got there my plates were on...

 

For some of you guys who drove off the lot with plates the same day, didn't you just transfer the plates from an old car (trade-in)?

 

I think two weeks. I didn't put it on for another couple weeks
