Something similar happened to me. Key fob dropped from my pocket right under the driver seat and when it came to lock the car from the door handle, car started beeping, not letting me lock the car
I dropped my keys in my trunk on purpose to check this out and the trunk shut and on top of it i couldnt press the silver button on the trunk to open it...Luckily the door was open so I just went ahead and opened the trunk from the inside of the car....

Needless to say won't do that again.
... Maxi. I got to check that out one day. I shouldn't do that.
It was posted earlier in another thread that this only works if the keys are inside the car or trunk and all the doors are locked. I haven't tested this out yet because I never have my second set of keys handy. Anybody have their spare handy and want to test it out?

try leaving the window rolled down half way so that you can stick your arm in to unlock it if testing with one fob.

Defeats the purpose of the test. I tried that, it locked just fine because the windows were down. I'm talking about really locking them inside where its not possible to get them out.
thats so weird other day i left my keys in my truck and shut all my doors and shyt, i went crazy looking for them opened my door since the keys where in the truck +1 for the smart key and then poped my trunk
