i left my keys in my laptop bag in the trunk with the front doors locked by pushing the outside button, then lastly opened the trunk with the button on the trunk, trunk opened, dropped laptop bag in, closed trunk door, it shut then a second later beeped 4 times by itself not touching the car or anything and the trunk popped back open... not sure if this happened to anyone else... then i figured my keys was in my laptop bag in the trunk.

You always have to push a button (fob, inside do0r, outside do0r) to get it to lock?
yea but it will beep because it wont let you lock the car if the key fob IS in the car

I fully agree! While trying to shotgun a six pack the thing kept veering out of lanes, what a pile of crap!

yea, ive had it beeping at me when I shut it off and the fob is in my pocket.
IMO, after the fob gets a certain distance away and the car is not running, it should lock itself. But meh, whatever.

Just makin sure I understo0d what it will and will not do.

I like how you can roll the windows down with the fob, to0 bad you cant roll em back up with it.

I read this thread last week and picked up some good information.

Yet, after playing a round of golf this past weekend, I put my bag in the trunk (which also happened to contain my key fob which I forgot about) and the trunk wouldn't close. I kept examining the locking mechanism for a couple minutes since I thought it was jammed. Got pretty pissed that my trunk wouldn't close until I thought of this thread.....yes I'm an idiot...HAHHAHAHA
